District 95 Support Services augment the
school's instructional programs and meet the specialized
needs of those students who are determined to be "at risk"
academically and/or emotionally. The district employs
teachers trained in learning disabilities and behavior
disorders, speech and language therapists, school
psychologists, social workers, occupational and physical
therapists and nurses. District 95 is also a member of the
Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL), which
provides programs and services for those district children
with more profound needs.
Students with reading and language
deficiencies are provided assistance from specialists in
these academic areas. In addition, tutors and parent
volunteers assist as necessary. An English as a Second
Language (ESL) program is provided.
Opportunities are available for talented
students in the gifted, honors, Saturday Scholars, summer
school and Advanced Placement programs.
