The elementary art curriculum in District 95 is a discipline-based subject that focuses on studio production (drawing, painting, printing, collage, fibers, and sculpture), art history, aesthetics and criticism.  It allows children to be expressive and experimental when exploring different media.  It also allows our students to learn about cultures around the world, past and present works of art via art history, to appreciate simple and complex beauty in our world and to develop critical thinking when viewing a piece of artwork.
