The first grade classes started the year with a watercolor Kandinsky. We viewed the artist's work and then proceeded to emulate his abstract style using color and line to show feeling and emotion. We then moved on to a colored pencil drawing on black paper using the earth surrounded by familiar Lake Zurich Buildings and exploding outer space images. Our latest piece was a mixed media snow globe using oil crayon, watercolor and glitter that created a brilliant winter landscape
