Friday March 19, 2010

  • Nomination forms are due today for a District 95 Teacher Make a Difference Award.  Forms are available in the Main Office, Guidance Office, School Library and the district website.

  • Northern Illinois will be here today during 4th hour and the following colleges will be here next week: on Monday, the 22nd, Upper Iowa University will be here during 5th hour and on Tuesday, the 23rd, University of Wisconsin Platteville will be here 3rd hour and Central Methodist College will be here 7th hour.  Sign up on Prep HQ and be sure to have your college visit pass signed by your teacher prior to attending.

  • Anyone interested in traveling to Italy over spring break 2011 see Ms. McBride in S127.  $400.00 discount if you enroll before April 1st.

  • The last day to register to take an AP exam is March 26. Please register with and pay the book keeper in the PAC lobby.

  • Science Club will meet on Monday at 3:15 pm.  Plans for a spring activity(s) will be made, a list of officer openings for 2010-2011 school year election will be presented for nomination and end of year celebration plans will be made.  Please plan on attending.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Armbruster.

  • Mr. Lake Zurich tickets are being sold today in Mr. Bennett's room B109 and in the cafeteria next week.  All seats are reserved, so make sure to buy them with your friends.

  • Are you looking for a colorful springtime treat?  The German Club will be selling gummi bears in the cafeteria during all lunch periods today.

  • The Tech Club bus to the UIC Pavilion for the First Robotics competition will leave from the PAC doors tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM.  

  • Attention all sophomore board members:  Next week's bake sale is canceled.  Please attend our next meeting for additional information.

 

Thursday March 18, 2010

  • Nominations are due tomorrow for the District 95 Teachers Make a Difference Award.  Pick up a form today in the Main Office, Guidance Office, School Library and the district website. 

  • Northern Illinois will be here tomorrow during 4th period.  Sign up on Prep HQ and be sure to have your college visit pass signed by your teacher prior to attending.  

  • Anyone interested in traveling to Italy over spring break 2011 see Ms. McBride in S127.  $400.00 discount if you enroll before April 1st.

  • Seniors:  Graduation is 3 short month away.  Do you want to give a senior speech? Your time is now.  The senior speech deadline is next Friday, March 26th.  Turn in all speeches to Mr. Rubenstein in the main office.  If your speech is not in by the 26th it cannot be considered for graduation.

  • Mayuri Chandran took second place in Biology at WYSE sectional competition last Friday at Vernon Hills High School and has qualified to compete at the state competition on April 22 at University of Illinois – Champaign. Please congratulate Mayuri and wish her well at state competition.

  • The College of Lake County is hosting over 200 colleges at their annual Spring College Fair tonight at 6:00 p.m. See Mr. Krause if you have any questions.

  • Bear Facts will meet tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. in E206. Anyone interested in writing articles, taking pictures, or drawing cartoons is welcome to attend. If you cannot attend the meeting, email Bear Facts at bear_facts@lz95.org or stop by room E200 anytime after the meeting.
