Friday November 06, 2009

  • The University of Wisconsin – Platteville will be in the College & Career Center today during 7th hour.  Make sure to have your College Visit pass signed by your teacher before attending. On Monday, November 9th, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will be here 6th hour.
  • The Girls' Bowling Team begins on Monday with tryouts at Brunswick Deer Park.  Tryouts will be at 3:45 - 5:15 on Monday and Wednesday at 9-11 a.m.  There are no tryouts on Tuesday. Be sure to complete and return your paperwork and fees to the Athletic Office by this Friday. If you have any questions, please contact the Athletic Office or Coach Mel Fox at Isaac Fox School.
  • Charity Bash Shirts are officially on sale.  Pre-order your shirt by November 13th to guarantee that you get one.  Order forms are available on the Senior Board web page, Main Office and in S137. 
  • Stop by the Booster Store during lunch today to get your Bear Wear for the home play-off football game. 
  • The Italy trip this Spring Break still has spaces available.  See Ms McBride in S127 before Thanksgiving break
  • Are you interested in winning a brand new car?  If so, you must complete the Operation Click contract available in the Main Office.  If you have questions, contact Mr. Rubenstein, Miss Chorney, or Miss Netzel.
  • Calling all Soccer Fans! Sign up in the Athletic Office to take the fan bus today to North Central College. Cost of the bus is $5.00. Bus will leave at 5pm.  Come cheer on our LZ Bears Soccer Team. .
  • Anyone interested in signing up for the fan bus to Peoria on Saturday to cheer on our Boys Cross Country Team should see Mrs. Arnold in the Athletic office today.  Cost of the bus is $10.00.  Bus will depart from Lake Zurich at 6 am.  GO BEARS!
  • Science club will have a very important short meeting this Monday, November 9th at 3:15 in S119.  Attendance is required for everyone, including those students that have participated in a science competition in the past and those students wishing to participate in this year's competition.  We will also be voting on the Charity Bash raffle item.  Permission forms for the Eagle Watch Trip will be available.

  • Congratulations to the Girls Volleyball team, winning their first round at sectionals last night.   Come watch your Bears Volleyball team play Thursday night, 7pm at Stevenson HS.

Tryouts will take place on Monday and Tuesday, November 9th and 10th from 3:45 - 5:15 p.m. at Deer Park Brunswick Lanes. A bus will be available to take you to tryouts.  Be sure that you have the proper paperwork filed in the Athletic Office before tryouts.  If you have questions, contact the Athletic Office or Coach Mel Fox.
  • Attention all boys who are interested in the swim team.  There will be an informational meeting at 3:15 today in B104.
  • Attention Seniors:  Herff Jones will be here today during all lunch periods in the cafeteria to take orders for Graduation Caps, Gowns, Announcements and Senior Class Rings.  A $75.00 deposit or payment in full is required to order graduation products. A $50.00 deposit is required to order a senior class ring. Extra packets are available in the Main Office. 
  • There will be a short mandatory meeting for any boy trying out for this years Varsity basketball team.  The meeting will take place in the Field House immediately after school today.
