Lesson Information

Private lessons are encouraged but not required in Concert and Symphonic Bands. Study with the private teacher greatly enhances the student's progress and has been shown to improve the level of playing of the band, as well as the students' own abilities.

Teachers for most of the instruments are available for lessons during the school day, during study hall or band/music class. Students can schedule these lessons directly with the teacher and payment would be made to the teacher at lesson times or on a schedule determined by the teacher. The cost per lesson is $20-22. Percussion, flute, clarinet, horn, saxophone, low brass and trumpet students will now have teachers available at LZHS.....Yes, all students should consider lessons....."Oh, the places you'll go!" -Dr. Seuss.
