Mrs. Sheri Conover

This is Mrs. Conover's fourth year of teaching at LZHS.  After teaching band, as well as Advanced Electronic Music, this year is even better....teaching AP Music Theory!

Mrs. Conover received her Bachelor of Arts from Augustana College in Business Administration and subsequently attended Northern Illinois University for teacher certification in Music Education, as well as earning the Master's Degree in Music.

Mrs. Conover is married to Mike and lives in Lake in the Hills, along with their son, Ben, 19 (who is now an honorary member of LZHS and is attending Indiana University, playing in the IU drumline and majoring in Psychology. Their daughter Samantha, 24, is a University of Illinois graduate with a degree in history education and is teaching World History and Geography at Huntley High School (her alma mater).

Outside of school, the most fun that Mrs. Conover has is playing flute for weddings, in church, in pit orchestras, and in a variety of ensembles - she has performed with the Northshore Concert Band, The Crystal Lake Community Band and The Perfect Fifth Woodwind Quintet.  Just being around BAND is FUN!
