The Bear Booster Club of Lake Zurich High School sponsors a substance-free Post-Prom event for all prom attendees who choose to spend two hours aboard the Odyssey, a luxury ship, cruising Lake Michigan. The cruise leaves from Navy Pier, with beautiful views of downtown Chicago, and includes hors d'oeuvres and dancing on all three levels of the Odyssey. Students are bused, using quality coach busses, to and from the Prom site for their convenience.
The Bear Booster Club subsidizes approximately two thirds of the expense for Odyssey tickets, which makes the cruise very affordable and popular with students. The Bear Boosters raise money for this event through fundraisers (see Activity Pass) and through community donations.
The cruise is chaperoned by volunteer parents, preferably those without juniors or seniors who will attend Post-Prom. If you would enjoy chaperoning a great group of kids and taking a wonderful cruise for FREE, contact Terri Johlie at 847-726-7325 to get in on the fun!
