Building Requirements Throughout the year, students will have the opportunity to help build a house at a site in Waukegan. Although we encourage all members to help build, volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers must go the the Habitat for Humanity Lake County website and read all the safety and building information. Then, they must print out and sign a liability waiver (a link to the waiver is provided at the bottom of this page). This waiver outlines the possible risks that could occur during the building and the course of action if an accident should occur. Please read over this waiver before signing it and make sure that the volunteer provides accurate emergency information while registering on-line. The volunteer must bring it to the site on the day of construction. Although the high school acts as a meeting place for the club, the volunteer work is independent of the high school. Therefore, students must find their own transportation to and from the worksite.

Once you click on volunteer, go to construction. Read the work day information and the safety information. Print out the waiver and bring a signed copy to the build site.
With your password, go to volunteer information form. You must login first. Then fill in the information. You will also need to fill in the information for Orientation.
