Honk! Is a contemporary re-telling of Hans Christian Anderson’s classic fairy tale, The Ugly Duckling. Ugly looks odd and gawky compared with others around him. His family and neighbors immediately make fun of him and treat him like an outsider. He is separated from the farm and pursued by the hungry Cat. Through his rollicking and harrowing journey, we learn that being different is okay, and that somewhere out there, someone’s gonna love you, warts and all!
