participation in the LZHS developmental counseling program, every grade 11 student will
acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes to:
- create their action
plan including the steps to reach their post-secondary goals.
- evaluate the importance of setting realistic career goals and aligned
ambitions and striving toward them.
- research appropriate
post-secondary choices.
- as a result of the Junior Year Post-Secondary Planning
meetings, students will become aware of the resources available and learn how
to make a college connection, including how to search for and apply to college
and research other post-secondary educational options.
- identify the
relationship between positive choices, responsible behavior and maximizing
future opportunities.
The above objectives will be accomplished
second semester during Junior Year Post-Secondary Planning meetings held in the
College/Career Center and throughout the year during evening presentations by
college admission officers.
