Grade 12 Counseling Curriculum

As a result of participation in the LZHS developmental counseling program, every grade 12 student will acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes to:

1. implement their action plan including the steps to reach their post-secondary goal.
2. participate in a transition activity where they review their career goals.
3. plan for their post-secondary transition and evaluate their plan for discrepancies.
4. evaluate their future educational goals and select a variety of schools to apply to where they may not match all the criteria, meet the criteria and exceed the criteria.
5. evaluate how their attitudes and values affect their lives.

The above objectives will be accomplished in the fall during Senior Meetings and throughout the year during evening presentations by college admission officers.
