City of Bones

by Cassandra Clare

City of Bones is the first book in the "Mortal Instruments" trilogy.

When Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder. Much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with odd markings. This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons - and keeping the odd werewolves and vampires in line. It's also her first meeting with gorgeous, golden-haired Jace. Within twenty-four hours, Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon.  But why would demons be interested in an ordinary mundane like Clary? Welcome to the LMC!

Here at the Wesner Library Media Center, it is our desire to support and extend the curriculum as well as offer materials to enable students to develop individual interests. Students, whether you’re looking for a quiet place to study for an upcoming test, need to look up something for a class, want to use the internet to research one of your interests more deeply, or simply to curl up with a good book to read, come on in.   This is a great place for you to extend your academic work, as well as pursue your personal interests and hobbies using our facilities here at the library.

Teachers, we want you to know that you will find a variety of resources here to support your classroom activities.  Staff members are always welcome to bring students in to explore what the library has to offer, or simply have a look around yourselves.  We will be glad to help you use the library to enhance whatever lessons and projects you have planned and to work with your students on their research and information literacy skills.
