Chamber Strings

Lake Zurich Chamber Strings is the extracurricular string orchestra based at LZHS. Chamber Strings is a fun, high-energy performing ensemble that plays a diverse and exciting array of music.

Chamber Strings performs roughly 15-20 times per school year at events ranging from weddings, to banquets, to LZHS orchestra concerts, to our end-of-year Chamber Strings Banquet and Concert. The ensemble comes together for two days in early August to learn music, then rehearses one evening per week during the school year.

Membership is open to all LZHS orchestra students and is by audition. Incoming freshmen completing 8th grade are highly encouraged to try out! Auditions are held in the last few weeks of the school year.
