Dear Track Parents:

 

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2010 Track and Field season.  We are looking forward to having a great year.  My name is Chad Beaver, and this is my 4th season as head coach of Lake Zurich Boys Track and Field.  We have always been very successful because of the standard of excellence that we expect from each athlete.  Again this year my assistant coaches will be J.B. Hanson, Aaron Towne.  Because there are only three coaches this year, a lot more responsibility will be given to the athletes, and even more to the seniors.

 

This year all of our information is online at http://www.lz95.org/lzhs/physical_education/cbeaver/lake_zurich_boys_track__field.htm.  Your son is expected to attend practice every day, unless there is a medical or family emergency.  If this is the case, please call and let me know at 540-5474.  If an athlete is not in practice, a coach or a manager will call home to let you know that your son was not in attendance on that particular day. 

 

The track season will begin on Monday, January 25th, 2010, and will conclude with the Illinois State Track and Field Meet on May 29th.  Track and field is a very demanding sport that requires a lot of self-discipline.  We expect each athlete to always maintain a very high standard of sportsmanship, hard work, and dedication.

 

For us to keep our level of success, we are asking for parent volunteers.  We would like to have two mother volunteers to be our team moms.  If you are interested in the brief details, please feel free to call me.  We are also in need of volunteers to help run our home meets.  This does not require a lot of time; however, it will make a big difference in the success of our program.  The following is a list of home track meets that we will be hosting this year.  Please let me know which meets you could volunteer to help.
