Freshman Coaches
Coach Tony Drago is in his first year as a member of the Bears Baseball Staff. Coach Drago graduated from Holy Cross High School in River Grove, Illinois where he played several sports-including baseball. While at Holy Cross he played on a conference championship team that advanced to sectionals. After high school he had invitations to several major league tryouts until arm injuries kept him from continuing.
Coach Drago has been coaching youth sports in the Lake Zurich community for over 8 years. Currently he is a member of the Lake Zurich Bears football staff where he is looking forward to his third year. Coach Drago has been an assistant coach on the Lake Zurich Cougars, full-time travel baseball team for four seasons. During his time with the Cougars they have traveled to several tournaments including trips to Omaha Nebraska, Cooperstown New York and Overland Park Kansas. While at the USSSA tournament in Overland Park the team finished as the consolation bracket champions winning there final 7 games there!

Kevin Condon is in his first year as a member of the Bears’ baseball staff. Coach Condon graduated from Niles West High School where he played on a conference championship team his junior year and was named All-Conference his senior year. Coach Condon went on to play at the University of St. Francis for famed coach Gordie Gillespie.
Coach Condon’s years of coaching experience began as an assistant hockey coach for Joliet Catholic High School and ranges from being a successful youth baseball coach to establishing and directing the first youth hockey program in Monterey County, CA. In 2000 he helped lead the Pacific Grove Mustang PONY team to 2nd Place in the Zone Championship. Most recently as an assistant coach for Renegades Baseball, he has been a part of two AABC state championship teams. Coach Condon has also been privileged to be an assistant field coach at two pro-scout showcases in Sarasota FL. Most recently Coach Condon spent two weeks touring Japan as a coach with a team of American collegiate players.
Coach Condon lives in Morton Grove with his wife Madlene. His son is currently attending Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR.
