    Coach Reagan has been coaching at the high school since 2005. He teaches Driver Education and is also the Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach. Prior to being at Lake Zurich High School, he was a graduate of Millikin University, Decatur, IL, where he lettered two years on the baseball team. After playing at Millikin, he coached two years at Clinton High School, Clinton, IL and three years at Lake Forest High School as the varsity assistant. While at Lake Forest, he helped the Scouts place 3rd in state in 2003. Coach Reagan also has a Masters in Teaching Leadership from University of Illinois at Springfield.

Ed joined the Lake Zurich High School baseball staff in 2004. He has coached baseball for almost 20 years (including 10 years as coach of the Lake Zurich Scorpions travel team, who as 16 year olds, finished 10th in the nation at the USA Jr. Olympics Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.). Additionally Ed has coached the Lake Zurich American Legion, Post 964 baseball team since 2002 (to 3 District championships and numerous tournament championships). Coach Ed has been the assistant at the sophomore level for  the past 3 seasons. During the school day you can find Ed in the Dean’s office as the In-School-Suspension Supervisor.

Ed graduated from the University of Arizona, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity ( and lived with Arte Moreno-owner MLB Angels, Denny Kuhl-president MLB Angels, and the fathers of  Brad Lidge and J.J. Hardy). Ed has been married to Ellen for 36 years (Ed and Ellen both grew up in Mt. Prospect, Ill) and they have two children….Corrie, a 1998 graduate of LZHS and later from Illinois State University; and Chase, who graduated from LZHS in 2003, and then from Indiana University in 2008.
