Support Groups

A variety of support groups are run throughout the school year. Students can talk directly to the school social workers to find out about joining a group.

Cultural Interests

This group plans the Cultural Awareness Week and talks about teen issues and how background affects values, decisions, restrictions, etc.

Self-Image Group

This group is for female students who have issues with self-concept and self-confidence.

Family Issues Groups

This group is for students who are dealing with family conflicts and relationships.

Problem-solving Groups

This group is for students who want to improve their problem solving skills.

Stay-Clean Group

This group is for students who are in recovery.

Transfer Group

This is a time-limited group for students who are new to the district.

Anger Management Group

This group is for students to gain skills to manage their emotions and act appropriately with staff and other students.

Bereavement/Grief and Loss Group

This group is for students who are dealing with the loss of a friend, sibling or family member.
