Doing a science project will help you put into practice some of the science and math that you have learned in your classes. In addition, a science project will help you to learn much more about a subject that interests you.

By participating in the science fair you will develop several valuable skills that will provide you opportunities to:

• conduct independent research and answer your own questions

• create artistic displays

• gain self-confidence and public speaking experience

• utilize the scientific method and become more science literate

• work across the curriculum, enhancing writing, mathematical and

  analytical skills

• work to a deadline

• carry an idea through from beginning to end

• respect humane and safety considerations

• learn to record information and write an experimental procedure correctly

experience that a Science Fair is FUN!
