Classroom Information:

World History is a comprehensive course that will investigate the history of the world beginning from Ancient Sumer and will end with the reign of Napoleon.

Topics of study include:
Mesopotamia; Ancient Egypt; the Mediterranean World; the Middle Ages & Formation of European Nations; Renaissance; Reformation & Scientific Revolution; the Age of Absolute Monarchs; the Enlightenment; Napoleon & the French Revolution


 

U.S. History is a class designed for the student who has reading & writing skills, but will also develop the students' analytical skills with regards to historical documents. Students will investigate the history of the U.S. beginning from colonial development & end with Cold War.

Topics of study include:
Colonialism; American Revolution; Governmental Development; Civil War & Reconstruction; Westward Expansion; History of Chicago Unit (industrialization); WWI; 20's & 30's; WWII & the Cold War

  A+ = 100-97        A = 96-93        A- = 92-90

  B+ =   89-87         B = 86-83         B- = 82-80

  C+ =  79-77         C = 76-73         C- = 72-70

  D+ = 69-67          D = 66-63         D- = 62-60

  F = 59 and Below
