Syllabus:

Objective of course:

The goal of Academic Skills is have students be academically successful

Expectations:

Students are expected too follow LZHS’ Code of Conduct at all times.  This includes respecting the teacher, follow classmates, and school property.  We are all part of the classroom, in order to have a successful year we all need to respect each other.

Students are expected to be in their seat, with work, when the bell rings

Completed assignment book

Students should not bring I-pods or other music devices to class.

There is no food allowed in the classroom.

The class will work on study strategies at least 45 minutes per week.

Students are responsible for bringing the following items:

Pocket Folder

Work to be completed from other classes.

Grading Policy

Grades will be based on total points on the following scale:

      A+ = 100-97        A = 96-93        A- = 92-90

       B+ =   89-87         B = 86-83         B- = 82-80

      C+ =  79-77         C = 76-73         C- = 72-70

      D+ = 69-67          D = 66-63         D- = 62-60

      F = 59 and Below
