The purpose of this course is to introduce the students to literature.  Included in this course is a survey of literature, grammar, composition, vocabulary, and communication skills.  Students in this course receive similar material as in the college prep course but at a decelerated pace.  Emphasis is placed on the development of basic skills in reading, written expression, comprehension, and communication.
