Health Education is a required semester course that is offered at the sophomore level.  The purpose of the course is to give students practical knowledge that will help keep them physically fit and mentally healthy throughout their lives.  The units of study that make up the curriculum include the following: nutrition, fitness and sleep; circulation, respiration and pollutants; personal and consumer health; disease; human growth and development; mental health problems; human sexuality; drugs and alcohol; and first aid.  The course content is designed to meet the needs of today’s students as they strive to live higher quality lives.
