TEAM PROCEDURES

SUPPLIES

• School Supply List
• Students may not be allowed to return to their locker for forgotten items.
• Please replenish school supplies regularly!

HOME LEARNING

• We expect all students to have assignment done at the beginning of the class period
• Every child is required to use an assignment notebook that is to be kept in the front of their binder. This is our daily and main communication regarding academics with the home. Please monitor daily.
• Home learning is generally given daily and due the next school day. It is the student's responsibility to copy down daily assignments from the board into the assignment notebook.
• Assignments turned in late may be given partial credit. A zero (0) will be given if a student chooses not to turn in the assignment after a reasonable period of time
• All home learning assignments must be written in blue or black ink on white, loose leaf paper, NO spiral rip outs. An exception: All math and science work is to be done in pencil

Students are expected to obtain all assignments missed due to absences. Absences include illness, band/orchestra lessons, appointments, vacation, visits to the nurse or office or other reasons that may have kept them from class. Parents will call in for assignments when student is absent. It is the parent's responsibility to pick up called for assignments. Students should complete any work he or she can while absent and turn in all missing work right away.

BOC LESSONS

Students are expected to turn in assignments before going to band or orchestra lessons.

TESTS/QUIZZES

Tests, quizzes and science labs that are missed due to absence need to be made up after the regular school day, unless other arrangements are made. Students must set up a time with the teacher to make up these items as soon as possible.

GRADING

The following grading scale will be used:

• A: 100% - 90%
• B: 89.99% - 80%
• C: 79.99% - 70%
• D: 69.99% - 60%
• F: 59.99% and below

MISSING ASSIGNMENTS

Parents may be contacted by phone, Academic Accountability form, note, email or message written in the assignment notebook when their child has missed a number of assignments. Parents may also be contacted in a similar manner if their child exhibits unacceptable behavior. A parent/teacher conference may be scheduled if the lack of academic progress or inappropriate behavior continues.
