In the "Information" tab above, you can find "Stripes Weekly".  This chart shows this week's schedule for tests and quizzes. Each week we review this schedule to balance the week in terms of tests and quizzes and/or major homework projects. Stripes Weekly is also posted in their classrooms so students stay updated with their assignment binders.

Attention Parents: Please stay involved!
Please stay involved in our student's education! As the year progresses, class instruction incorporates material that is more and more challenging to their work efforts. The contrast between high comfort levels and a more challenging curriculum often results in dropped effort and grades.

Please review this with our students.  Remind students to check their grades often. Each teacher has grades posted in their classrooms and they are updated weekly.

Please continue to monitor their class work. This can be done by reviewing their homework assignments with them when they say "I'm done!" Most of us could use another to review our work to make sure nothing is missed or insufficient. Unfortunately, most poor scores are most often from lack of re-checking requirements for items missed. When students are ready to do homework, they should read the directions twice from the beginning of the assignment to the end.  Then complete the assignment.  Then re-read the requirements and/or rubrics to make sure nothing was missed. This is where another person is useful to help check over the details. Many students can become so involved in the assignment and not see the "whole picture".

Your involvement in their education simply shows them that this is important to all of us.
