Award Philosophy

The seventh grade team began the “Joining Hands” student
recognition program about ten years ago.  In honor of our new school
mascot, we changed the name to “Wolf Pride Award.”

The goal of the award is to provide recognition and reinforcement for
students who make positive contributions to our school
community. While we continue our strong commitment to academic
success, the goal of the “Wolf Pride” program is to encourage other
vital areas of student growth- areas that help shape and prepare
young adults to grow into responsible and caring human beings.

Each week, our team will nominate students who have earned
recognition in one of the following areas: cooperation/service,
kindness, leadership, respect, and strong work ethic. These students
will receive a recognition certificate.  We will also send a letter to
parents describing how the award was earned.   Near the end of each
quarter, we will honor these students and their families at an in school gathering.
We look forward to celebrating your child’s success with you!
