This period is a silent study hall to help you be successful academically.  This is a great time to prioritize your work list and finish assignments before going home for the day, or to seek assistance from one of your teachers.  Bring your binder and assignment log.  Bring assignments in progress and / or textbooks and spirals so you can study for tests.  Always have a novel or book to read.  You may not return to your locker to retrieve forgotten items.

Plan ahead, because…..

  • All class assignments will be accepted during their respective class periods only – Homeroom is not the time to seek out other teachers to turn in late work, and you will not be released for this purpose.  Academic detention periods will be scheduled after school in case you accumulate late work.

  •  In order to leave homeroom teacher X to see teacher Y for any reason, you must arrive in Homeroom with a pass.  Request the pass from teacher Y before you leave his or her class for the day.

  •  No more than three students will be permitted to visit the library during Homeroom.
