Dear Students and Parents: 

Welcome back to a new school  year at Middle School North!  I am excited to meet or reintroduce myself to all of you who are entering 7th and 8th grade.  I serve as the guidance counselor to students on the 7th grade Stripes Team and all of 8th grade.  One of the first contacts I may have with you is correcting schedule problems that may have shown up on your student schedule.  Once we get  past the hectic first days of school there are many other ways in which we may cross paths.  Listed below are just a few of the ways you and I may meet:

 

  • Homeroom visits

  • Student Interviews

  • Explore, ISAT and MAP Testing

  • 8th Grade Career Day

  • Academic Conferences

  • Social Groups

  • ALP (Alternative Lunch Program)

  • Explore Test follow up discussions

  • Questions about 8th grade placements for high school

  • 7th grade planning for 8th grade

  • New Student orientation and groups

I look forward to working with all of you!  My first word of advice to parents and students alike is that you remember that if you have a question, ask it!   If you don't know who to ask, you can always ask me or any of the helpful members of the guidance department.
