During
the Unit
_____ 1. Be an active part of the class
Participate
during class. Complete homework on time
and always do your best. This is an
opportunity to be sure you are learning the material as we proceed through the
Unit.
_____ 2. Study for all Quizzes
Quizzes
are a way to be sure you have learned the material as we proceed through the
Unit. You don’t want to wait until the
end.
_____ 3. Do 15x and Re-take Quizzes
If
there are Quizzes you don’t do well on, take the opportunities given to earn
points back and learn the information early.
_____ 4. Ask for help
If
you don’t understand a grammar topic, ask for your teacher to re-explain it to
you, especially if you are re-taking a Quiz.
Leading
up to the Unit Test
_____ 1. Start studying early
As
soon as the test date is announced, begin studying for it. The more time you give yourself, the less
stressed you will be.
_____ 2. Know 100% of the vocabulary
Quiz
yourself on ALL of the vocabulary. You
should do this in some kind of written form.
Don’t assume that you remember the vocabulary-every letter counts!
_____ 3. Re-work Grammar Quizzes
Re-working
your Grammar Quizzes will make sure that you remember each grammar topic.
_____ 4. Complete the Study Guide
Be
sure to complete the study guide on time.
Use this as a means to pre-test yourself. What do you know? What do you need to review?
_____ 5. Use the Checklist
Use
the checklist to be sure that you review and study all parts of the Unit.
_____ 6. Re-work the Study Guide
Your
Study Guide is a “peak” into the test.
You need to practice sentences in written form! Understand your mistakes! Don’t memorize them!
_____ 7. Do On-Line Practice
If
you teacher provides on-line practice, do it!
It’s probably another “peak” into the Unit Test.
_____8. Ask for
help
If
you find that you need something re-explained or you need additional practice
ask for help. Your teacher wants you to
succeed!
During
the Unit Test
_____ 1. Take your time
Read
the directions carefully. Listen to your
teacher if he/she reading the directions with you. He/she may be giving you hints-take notes!
_____ 2. Check your work
You need to find a way to check your work. There are a lot of details in Spanish. Little mistakes add up fast!
