 We will be reading two major novels in class: The Cay by Theodore Taylor,  Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls and various read-alouds from the Rebecca Caudill 2009-10 List. We have currently read  Rebecca Caudill nominee: The Mozart Question by Michael Morpugo

Skakespeare's Secret by Elise Broach

Explanation of Literature Circle:

Students will choose one book to read from the text sets and they will be placed into Literature Circles.

 Director, Literary Luminary Finder, Vocabulary Enricher, Illustrator and Connector are the positions that each students will have the opportunity to complete. They will be able to "teach" their peers their assigned role and assume the position of teacher.
