-GER AND –CER VERBS                                        

Verbs that end in –ger are conjugated like regular –er verbs in every form except the nous (we) form.  In the nous form, you add and –e before the ending –ons.  This is to keek the soft ge sound, as in the other forms.

Changer = to change                                         Manger = to eat

Échanger = to exchange                        Je mange                      nous mangeons

Corriger = to correct

Déranger = to disturb                            Tu manges                   Vous mangez

Encourager = to encourage

Voyager = to travel                               Il mange                       Ils mangent

Manger = to eat                                    Elle                               Elles
