About Mr. Morvaji
I was born in Evanston, Illinois and raised in Crystal Lake. I attended several institutions of higher learning. These include McHenry County College (A.S.), Northern Illinois University (B.A.), Concordia University (M.A.), and most recently Northwestern University (graduate work).
This past year was very exciting I was married to my wife Jennifer, and we moved to Lake Zurich. This past spring we found out we are going to have a baby; it will be born around Thanksgiving . . . no we aren't going to find out if it's a boy or girl until it's born :)
In 2002 I was recognized as a Master Teacher by the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS).
Last year I was honored to receive a Golden Apple Award. It was a truly humbling experience, and it was a day I'll never forget. I'm grateful to all who helped me get to this point in my career, especially my students.
This will be my 15th year teaching. I spent 9 years teaching in McHenry and this is my sixth in Lake Zurich. I'm having an awesome time. :)
I love the outdoors, and I enjoy kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and camping. I've been playing in a softball league the past 19 years. My hobbies include digital photography and videography. I enjoy making my own movies for my friends, family, and students. If you're in my class you'll see plenty of my educational movies this school year.
