7th Grade

Students review and expand their knowledge of the Elements of Arts as well as study the

Principles of Design through the creation of various projects. Students continue to build upon their knowledge in

the areas of drawing and sculpture.  Both modern and traditional approaches to art will be explored.

7^th Grade Drawing

Incorporating the Principle of Design, students come up with one triangle design (1/8 of a square) which will

later be traced 8 times to create a radially-symmetrical drawing.  After viewing technique demonstrations on layering and

burnishing with colored pencils, students will finish their composition with Prismacolor colored pencils.
