Deutsch 2 ~ 2006-2007

Willkommen bei Deutsch 2! This year we will continue learning from the textbook Deutsch Aktuell. We begin the year by reviewing what was learned last year and then begin learning the new material.

These topics are covered in Deutsch 2:

Review of chapters 1-5

Chapter 6: German foods, ordering food at a restaurant, likes/dislikes

Chapter 7: clothing, colors, shopping for clothing in Germany, preferences

Chapter 8: Birthday party, personal pronouns, things in the home

Chapter 9: Entertainment in Germany, music, bands, hobbies

Chapter 10: body parts, sports, soccer

What happens in a typical week:

• Participation speaking activity with vocabulary words
• Vocabulary words study method (notecards, writing words multiple times, study with a family member)
• Vocabulary Quiz on Friday
• Writing projects centered on grammar
• Receive 2-3 homework assignments

Classroom Expectations:

• Come to class prepared with textbook, notebook, homework packet, and vocabulary list
• Come to class with a positive and supportive attitude
• Be willing to try the German language… we all learn from mistakes, even Frau K
