Utopia/Dystopia Soundtrack Project
The Giver HAL Packet

Monday: Today, student groups will complete their last Giver station. Also, students will begin presenting their utopia/dystopia soundtrack project.  HW: Have a nice day!

Tuesday: Today, student groups presented their Giver station information.  Also, we continued with the utopia/dystopia soundtrack presentations.  HW: Giver-Extended Response test on Wednesday.  Make sure you bring your Giver book.

Wednesday: Today, students completed an extended response essay on the class novel, The Giver.  Also, we discussed the ambiguous ending of the novel and brainstormed about what happened to Jonas and Gabriel.  HW: Bring your library books on Thursday. 

Thursday: Today, we went to the library so students could return and check out books.  The focus was on the Caudill selections; students must have their two Caudill books read by 2/25.  Also, we practiced an ISAT persuasive essay.  HW: Have a nice day!

Friday:  Today, we had two students present their WWII social studies project during literature class.  Also, we played a class game of Taboo and completed a short Friday Journal.  HW: Have a nice weekend!
