read the textbook online, do reinforcement worksheets or quizzes, follow the
directions below.
Check out on the
Internet…
- Log on to your Internet
service and type in the address box, go.hrw.com.
- This address will get
you to the Holt, Rinehart, and Winston homework web site.
- For finding the book
online…
- Double click on the
Holt Online Learning icon that is displayed in the middle of the screen.
- Enter your user name
(received from your teacher) in the designated box.
- Press the tab button
and enter your password (also given to you by your teacher) in the
designated box.
- The Holt Online
Learning, “My Subscriptions” page will pop up with all the available online
textbooks. Choose the textbook that you will be using for the current unit
and click on it.
- After clicking on the
textbook that you need, look to the far right hand corner of the new
screen. The orange icons in this area demonstrate step-by-step how to
access the specific chapter and section that you require.
- For taking quizzes
online, skills worksheets, science puzzlers/twisters, etc…
- Click on the Science &
Health icon on the left side of the screen.
- Click on the Middle
School Science icon on the left side of the screen.
- A Middle School
Science Internet Resources box will pop up with content topic books that you
can choose from (Life, Earth, and Physical Science).
- Choose the topic you
want to do.
- A Holt, Rinehart, and
Winston homepage will fill the screen. Scroll down and choose the option
that you would like to do.
