Classroom Expectations

 

Classroom Guidelines

• Be courteous and considerate of everyone
• Be in your seat and ready to work when the bell rings
• Come prepared with necessary materials (check sign outside room A114 every morning)
• Absolutely no "Put-Downs" in class
• Be positive
• Ask for help when needed

Classroom Policies

• Late work- all work is expected to be done on time.  A daily assignment that is one day late will be accepted for 50% credit.  After one day, the completed work will be accepted, but no points will be earned.  IF the assignment is a more significant one like a paper, IRA, or project, then the grade will be lowered one letter grade per day its late. 

• Absent work- it is the student's responsibility to come to me before or after class to see what was missed.  A student who missed one day will have two school days to make up the assignments. 

• Tardies- a student can be tardy or unprepared three times a quarter.   After the third tardy or unprepared the student will serve a detention with me after-school until the late bus comes.  A unprepared is when a student has to go back to their locker to retrieve a needed item for class.
• A+ club- students will get a sticker for any perfect test or quiz.  After 10 perfect scores the students gets 10 extra credit points toward language arts or literature.
