Students were instructed to...

1) Find a place
2) Sit down
3) Listen to all the sounds of the environment
4) Focus on one interesting sound for 1-2 minutes
5) Describe that sound on paper (writing everything they can)

Once students had described their sounds they were instructed to recreate that sound using their instruments.

We then made 3 recordings (all 1 minute in length) using their found sounds.

Recording #1 - Play your sound as many times as you like within 1 minute. You might play it once, twice, three, or the entire time.

Recording #2 - Play your sound only right after someone else plays their sound (This was recorded twice as some students thought they could only play their sound once).

Recording #3 - Converse with someone in the room using your sound.
