Our School

Need some extra credit?  Forgot your practice record too often?  Just want to get some ideas for fun projects?  Try one of these.

  • Go to a concert - bring the program to Mr. Stenzel with your name on it
  • Play in another group - let Mr. Stenzel know about your concerts/performances
  • Take Private Lessons - make sure you tell Mr. Stenzel who your teacher is and how often you have a lesson
  • Listen to a Recording - of band music or of a professional playing your instrument.  Then write two or more pages about which pieces you liked/didn't like.
  • Create an Instrument - it must be playable and must show the effort you have put into its design and creation.
  • Write a paper - on a composer.  Background, famous pieces, why famous and why you choose him are all things that can be included.
  • Do a computer based project - create a web page on the history of your instrument or on some aspect of music.  Perhaps create a Powerpoint presentation.
  • Research the history of your instrument - then write down the important facts you found - two or more pages.
  • Write your own music - see Mr. Stenzel for some guidelines about length, etc.
  • Be Creative - come up with your own idea for extra credit and get approval from Mr. Stenzel.
