Physical Education plays a unique and significant role in education.  It deals holistically with students.  Its activities affect their health and promote physical and mental development.  In addition, it is of social importance. Physical Education is one of the main agents societies use to express cultural identity, to express emotions and initiate youth to the rules and laws that govern societies.

   Medicals:

  1. Students will be excused by the teacher for one day without a note as long as the student is dressed.
  2. Notes from home will be honored for three days, but missed work will be required to be made up at the teacher’s discretion.  The student is still responsible for being dressed.
  3. A doctor’s note is required for more than three days. PROCEDURE:  The student needs to bring the  medical note to the school nurse,  who will keep it in the students health file.
  4. She will then make a copy and give the note to their teacher
  5. The teacher will make then assign with sportfolios or an alternative assignment for the student.
  6. The student will return to class the day after the expiration date.
  7. The medical note should include limited activities that can be done for the student while they are out.
  8. The following link has a copy of the medical note that we would like to have issued to the student for any extended medical reason.  Return to School Form
