Norway is a country in Northern Europe. It's the western portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula. Its bordered by Sweden, Finland, and Russia. Norway has experienced rapid economic growth . It was named the most peaceful country in the world ranked by a 2007 survey by Global Peace Index. The standards of being in Norway are extremely high. More then half of Norway's population growth is because immigration.

Norway has beautiful sights to see. The weather is warmer than you expect. The warmest weather ever was in June, at 95 degrees. Norway has been independent since 1905. There are no metropolitan cities in Norway. May 17th is Norway's national holiday; wearing costumes, singing, and dancing is popular on this day.
