My Dream Vacation to Florence

I chose to travel to Florence because it is one of the most beautiful places I have never been. My trip is for one week - June 12th to June 20th. Florence is the capital city of the Italian region of Tuscany, and of the province of Florence. It is the most populated city in Tuscany with 364,779 people.
Florence was originally established by Julius Caesar in 59 BC as a settlement for his veteran soldiers. From 1865 to 1870 the city was also the capital of the Kingdom of Italy. Florence lies on the Arno River and it is known for its history and its importance in the Middle Ages. The “Ponte Vecchio” is a symbol of Florence. It was first constructed by Romans at the narrowest point of the Arno river. It is the only bridge that wasn’t destroyed by the Nazis during their Italian withdraw in 1944.
I have done some research on Italian culture.
  • The primary religion in Italy is Roman Catholic.
  • There are more Catholic churches in Italy than in any other country.
  • Clothes are important to Italians. They are extremely fashion conscious and judge people on their appearance.

Climate is generally in the 80's. It's minimum temperature is about 30, and maximum is about 90.

My Total Trip Cost is $21,030.72 (USD)
