He was born with the name of Harry Lillis Crosby.
In the mid-20th century Crosby became one of the biggest music and movie stars. The way he started out was joining to be a member of the Rhythm Boys, a jazz vocal trio. In the 1930's he went solo. He quickly became a radio star, a silky smooth crooner who could sing both pop and jazz. He died on October 14 of a heart attack.
