Boys Soccer

|
Soccer is a sport in which you attempt to score a goal with a ball. To score a goal you must kick the ball pass the opposing teams keeper into a net. The net is also called a goal. There are 11 players per team. The offense (the center and the wings), the defense, the mid fielders, the sweeper and the keeper. There is one center, two wings, three defense, three mid fielders, one sweeper, and one keeper. The defense and the sweeper help the keeper guard the goal. The offense and mid fielders try to score the goals on the other team.
Boys soccer is in the fall. It starts in September and ends in November. Practice is after school from 2:30 to 4:00. About 17 or 18 people make the team. If you make the team there is a sport cost. Cost may vary. Please contact Mr. Grimm for cost. During try out players will be tested on dribbling, shooting, corner kicks, and stealing the ball. On the last day of try outs the player do a scrimmage. A scrimmage in like a game except the players play their own team. Try outs are two days long. Cuts will be on the last day of try outs. Mr. Grimm is the head coach for boys soccer. For dates of games and try outs check out the soccer calendar or contact Mr. Grimm. Game are played after practice on game days.
