There are two teams for Girl's Basketball. There is a 6th/7th grade team. The coach of this team is Mr. Brown. Ms. Chimino coaches the 8th grade team. The teams compete during the fall season. To join the team, find out more about tryouts below or talk to one of the coaches. There will be an athletic fee if you make the team. It's a great opportunity to make new friends.
The season lasts throughout the fall. Practice is everyday directly after school until four o'clock. The late bus will not be available at this time so make sure you arrange for a ride home. They will take place in the school gym. The games will also be in the school gym or at an away team's school. They will begin at 4 or 5 o'clock, unless you are told otherwise by the coaches. The specific dates will be inside an information packet given out after you make the team or can be found on the calendar of events.
You must have a current physical on file in the office to try out.
Tryouts will take place toward the end of August. The date will be on the announcements prior to the tryouts. In order to tryout, you must sign up with one of the coaches. Tryouts are usually two days long. You must have a current physical on file in the office to participate.
