	Soccer Shoes (cleats) Shin guards Soccer T-Shirt Soccer Shorts Passing grade no lower than a C Physical on file

Joining Girls Soccer

You must have a physical on file in order to tryout for the team.
You must tryout to be eligible to play.
Tryouts are usually before spring break.
If you have any questions, ask Mr. Grimm (room )

Games and Practices

If you make the team you will be given a schedule of all the games and tournaments.
There are approximately 12 games scheduled, and 1 tournament.
Practices are everyday from 2:30 to 4:00.  You must have a ride by 4:15 to pick you up. 
Friday practices may be only until 3:15 PM.
The announcements will notify you if practices or games are canceled.
Practices and home games are held in the back of the school, on the soccer field.

Basic Rules

• You may not touch the ball with your hands when it is in play; the goalie is the only player who can use their hands.

• You start the game and the 2nd half with a kickoff.

• In order to score, the whole ball must cross the whole goal line.

• When kicked out of bounds by one team, the other team gets the throw-in.

• For a throw in, you must be behind the line and keep both feet on the ground.

Fees You will need to pay an athletic fee that will be determined for 2009-2010 later.  There is also a fee of around $20 to $25 for the team uniform t-shirts and sweatshirts.                Every girl on the team needs to pay the fee in order to play!
