I've taught 6th grade Reading Language Arts, and Social Studies for three years at Lake Zurich Middle School South.  Prior to teaching  I received my undergraduate degree in middle level education at Illinois State University in Bloomington.  After my teaching career started I went back to school to work on my Master's degree.  I received my masters in Teaching and Leadership from St. Xavier University in Chicago on May 21, 2005.  However, I aspire to continue my education in preparation to teach to the needs of all students.

      When I am not teaching, I enjoy many other activities.  I spend as much time outdoors in the summer as possible.  The beach is one of my favorite places to be.  I also like to go camping and travel as often as I can.  Spending time with my family and friends is very important to me.   To relax, I enjoy reading or watching movies.
