Mission

My mission this year is for you all to be successful!  I not only want your brains to grow, but I want you to grow as a “whole” person.  I expect you all to feel better about yourself by the time you leave my class. You will feel important and learn responsibility as well as develop quality lifelong characteristics.

Grading Policies

TOTAL GRADE:                   Your grade will be based on homework assignments, journal writing, tests, quizzes, projects and class participation.  You will be keeping a record of your grade so you should know your grade at all times!

HOMEWORK:           All homework will be graded according to the specific assignment.  Most homework assignments are around 10 – 20 points.  

**homework will be posted each week on the grade log in class as well as on my web page**

LATE WORK:            LZMSS 7^th grade late work policy will apply to our class as well.  

ü      One day late- assignment may receive up to 80%

ü      Two days late- assignment may receive up to 60%

ü      Three days late- assignment may receive up to 50%

ü      Four or more days late- assignment will only be worth ½ credit

ü      IF YOUR WORK IS INCOMPLETE…IT IS CONSIDERED LATE!

ü      IF YOU DO NOT TELL ME ABOUT A LATE ASSIGNMENT AND I FIND OUT MYSELF, I WILL GIVE YOU A BLUE SLIP AND LATE ASSIGNMENT SLIP FOR THE SAME ASSIGNMENT!

ü      3 LATE ASSIGNMENTS EARNS AN ACADEMIC DETENTION

Absent Procedure

ü      Pick up your homework from the absent folder on the bulletin board

ü      Copy down the assignment from the grade log or from Mrs. Wessman’s homework page online

ü      Copy any notes you may have missed

ü      Turn in homework that was due the day you were absent and write and circle ABSENT on top

ü      Come in for help if needed!
