Elite All-star:

What Is Elite All-star?
The all-star squads are placement teams for girls with tryouts that will take place in May. The girls that are on these squads can also tryout and cheer for any of the middle school squads. The teams will compete approximately six times throughout the year, including a National competition which will be out of state. Younger squads will have a shorter season and will not go out of state. Practices start in July and run about 2-3 times a week throughout the season. Practices are held on Mondays and Wednesday and also some Fridays. The squads will periodically cheer at Flames home football games.

What will this cost?
Registration is $300 plus Elite uniform. There is a monthly fee of $85 per month from July to the end of the season. Your registration and monthly fees help pay for gym costs, professional choreography, competition costs, etc.

When are tryouts?
Tryouts are in the spring of 2010. Usually around the beginning of May. All tryout dates will be held at USGTC in Lake Zurich.

Mandatory Overnight Cheer Camp
The older squads will be attending an away camp July 19-21 at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. Younger squads will have a camp held closer to home. This camp is mandatory. Cost is approximately $360 plus apparel (camp uniforms, warm-ups, shoes, socks, briefs, bows, make-up, bags).

Fundraising
Several squad and individual fundraisers are done throughout the season. Squad fundraising is to help with team expenses. Individual fundraising is to help offset costs of Nationals (travel expenses, competition fee, hotel expenses, etc.). Individual fundraising is optional.

School Teams:

School teams are a great way to meet people in your school, as well as have fun with school spirit.  With School teams you learn a lot more about the students and teachers/coaches at your school. It is a great way to get involved and hang out with people who like the same thing as you. You can plan a bunch of fun events to have and fundraising is also fun.

School team uniforms are normally the school colors.  For example Lake Zurich High School is blue, black, and white.
