Lacrosse is a sport that many people who don't think they will like it end up loving lacrosse. Lacrosse rules differ between boys and girls lacrosse. For example, boys lacrosse is a contact sport and girls can not. Keep reading to find out more on how to play, rules of the game and teams you can join!

Lacrosse is a very fun and complex sport Lacrosse is great for people who love to run and even people who don't like to run end up loving Lacrosse. To play you must multi task too keep the ball from your opponents, you must cradle the ball as you run and dodge the defenders.

Rules

Boys Girls
  • No Take-out Checking permitted
  • No body Checking permitted
  • Must stay outside of the crease of the goal
  • No Slashing

 

  • May not check across the body or above the shoulders.
  • You must not put stick to body
  • Off sides is if more than One A wing or D wing is past their restraining line.
  • Girls must not put their stick in directly in front of the face of an opposing girl.
  • Must be outside of the eight line if you are not guarding or being guarded.

  • Helmet
  • Lacrosse stick
  • Mouth Guard ( not clear)
  • Cleats
  • Gloves

 

  • Mask
  • Mouth Guard ( not clear)
  • Lacrosse stick (girls and boys are different)
  • Kilt ( or black shorts, differing on team)
  • Cleats
