This is a great sport to play and teaches you life lessons. For example it teaches you to be patient, and honest. This is also a great place to start playing golf for the first time. If you never had played golf before you will need a set of your own golf clubs because you cannot share golf clubs with anyone else. 2008-2009 WHEN: The golf intramurals are in the fall and there is a possibility that there will be another set of gatherings in the spring. The golf intramurals are mostly on Mondays and Wednesdays. After school from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. There are 8 times students could go. Only 16 kids can go golfing at a course. WHERE: At Twin Lakes Golf Course in Palatine. HOW: Each time you go it will costs $10 and the golf course will supply golf pull carts. YOU WILL HAVE TO GET YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE GOLF COURSE. WHO: All grades and both boys and girls can join. REQUIREMENTS: Requirements do not mention Academic Grades. If a detention occurs, then you can still go golfing. WHY: To have some fun playing golf. CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations would occur when there is rain or if the course is wet or flooded. If cancelled, then that day would be made up. Mr. Walsh would inform everyone on when the makeup day is. TEACHER: The teacher that is the chaperone for golf is Mr. Walsh. If you want to play in any of the golf intramurals then you have to see Mr. Walsh or go to the golf meeting after school. The meeting for the golf intramurals is held in the fall right after school. |
